  • Oooiii~~~!!!

What's wrong with this website? Should I blame the server or its just my wireless slow internet connectivity? It still remains a mystery... But I hate it when this happens, "How can I blog when I can't even upload any pictures to my blogsite!!!" Blame Xanga...thats what they always said...

"Yem Meng!!! Move out, change to another blogsite... Try blospot or wordpress instead!" Like yeah I've been thinking about that for a million times, convincing myself not to move out and continue to use xanga because of certain reasons. This isn't the first time Xanga have given me problems, I still remembered few months ago I couldn't even access in to my Xanga account. That was totally ridiculous!!! *Nani Kore~~~!!!*

Now I couldn't even blog out anything!!! ARGH!!! I'm so Frustrated!!!

  • Back to Business~~~!!!

Darryn: You really stop blogging ah?
Yem Meng: Nolar... It's just that...

Everyone please gather around so you could listen to Yem Meng's boring excuses for not blogging for a long time. I have reasons for it!!! Please listen to my explanation!!! Hahaha... Indeed it's been a while since I'd blog my last post about my new branded shoes.

Holidays are here, it was the moment I've been waiting for...vacation with my dear family. Heard from both of my parents that they would bringing my little cousin brother along, that's a good news for me and my brother. Why??? Because he would be bringing along his game console PS1 *antique*... most of the time me and my brother would be psychos over the game console. We would play the console for hours without consuming any water or food... Children, please don't follow our misguided behavior. Most of the time I would be playing games of Gundams battling each other, to admit it... it's real fun though it's an antique game. Lately I just came back from Kuantan, Hyatt Regency...I'll tell u guys more about that later. As I have tons of post which I need to finish.

As I've promised, I'll start blogging again because school holidays are over... and I have more time with my dear oh dear computer. I should be more worried on my up coming performance were I will be serenading a crowd of people this Sunday!!! Gambatte Yem Meng!!!

  • Shopping!!! Ha ha ha!!!

Last Thursday, I went Shopping with my mum at Times Square... and I bought myself a pair of lovely Green low cut Converse shoe!!! Hahaha!!!

I didn't simply just bought the pair of Converse, I have reasons for it. My Black high cut Converse was about to turn SOLE-less as most of the material was about to fade. So I turned to my dad and asked him for a RM100 so I could buy them. Emm... I know that I shouldn't have asked my dad for money, I'm almost 20 now and should be more independent... "Why can't I just use my own savings to buy them? Why why why?"

Because...currently I'm helping my dad out on his JOB, I would be his so lazy sitting there nothing to do always waiting for him in his car assistant. Though that's what I usually do, but sometimes I would help him carry heavy vehicle's batteries, help him to drive different cars from a certain location (eg. Jln Klang Lama to PJ, Cheras to Sg. Besi... Etc Etc Etc)...if I'm not mistaken I've driven more than 10 cars by now. Kekeke *proud*... I sometimes help him in banks, explain to him some certain transaction which he don't understand, usually in BM. Help him to repair cars... and a whole lot of jumble mumbles more.

So as you can see that the Converse I requested from him was actually in a form of a reward!!! Hahaha! Before choosing this pair of Green low cut Converse, I had actually went to various places to browse the price of the same shoes. Thank goodness that the price of the shoes were the same from all of the outlets, which is RM99.90; if not I would have a hard time bargain for it. The first time I laid my eyes on this lovely pair on converse was when I was shopping with Rebecca at Sg Wang. I bought a 4g thumb drive and she got herself a dress for a wedding dinner.

It was fun shopping with my mum, since she took a day off to shop with me...I even had a free hair cut and free lunch from her. Ha ha ha! While we were eating at a chinese restaurant name 'Food & Tea Hong Kong Restaurant', I noticed most of the teenagers were looking at us... because most of them are hanging out with their friends. As for me, I'm shopping, having lunch with my mum and that could be consider super rare! Hahaha! How many of us could see teenage sons accompanying their mums for shopping this days? I also noticed that most of the family who are having dinner outside have the absent of their teenage sons. Where could they be? Eating at a mamak stall *hawker stall* with their friends? perhaps they might be working... At a young age you'll be working? That's ridiculous. I still wonder why me and my little brother were the only two dudes that always stick with my parents when it comes to food. Maybe we might have the same opinion on how good is free food to us... Hahaha!!!

  • The Surprise~~~!!!

First of all...I would like to apologize for my long absent for not updating my blog and to Darryn who always persuade me to finish it up so he could read it. Sorry Darry *my version of calling his name* ... I'm sorry that I couldn't blog in time because I was helping my dad with his work on weekdays and usually I would be tired at night after a whole of day work. Sometimes I would take most of my time to finish off my pen pals' letter... I've been procrastinating her letter... Sorry Malini!!!

Well from my previous blog article, I gave everyone a surprise by telling you guys that I'll be heading to a certain place. Here it is; On the 28th of April 2008, I went fishing, camping with my dad and 3 of his friends at "Tasik Kenyir Terengganu". For your information, Tasik Kenyir is a man made dam and it was said that the size it was as big as Pulau Penang. I was quite excited at first when my dad asked me if I was interested to go camping with his friends, I agree without hesitating. Because I was really looking forward into fishing and the last time I went fishing with my dad was around 10 years ago...  Most of the time I was busy with school activities and I couldn't have a proper time to go fishing with him.

    ~Lock and Load~
We had 2 metal boats tied up on both of the jeeps and everything we needed was packed before the day we were about to leave. We left at 12.30am and took us about 5 hours and 30 minutes to reach to Tasik Kenyir's bay. Yes indeed it was a suffering journey because I need to back up my dad in case if he fell a sleep while driving and I had only 20mins of sleep in his jeep. After reloading most of our stuff to our boats, we had an hour journey to Sungai Lawit ... We land both of our boats on a very very small island and immediately clean up the bushes so we could put up our tent. Cleaning up the bushes weren't easy, especially when we were not the guest of honour to a nest of Kerengga (Oecophylla Smaragdina) a type of large red brown ants. I was bitten more than 10 times while I was unloading the boat. I would curse them "F***ing Hell!!!" everytime they bit me on my body, thank god they don't have any venom on them.

~Fishing Cooking Fishing Cooking ... again and again~
After putting up our tent and cleaning up the bushes with a 'Parang' long dagger, not to forget the special formulated friendly environmental insect spray which most of us use to get rid of the insects... "Die Die Die!!! Ha ha ha!!!" ... uncle Yap and uncle Simon immediately went fishing... So the three of us, uncle Wong, Dad and me stayed back to cook breakfast. Eventually I was not helping because I was extremely tired due to the journey, riding on a boat for an hour wasn't easy, especially you would hurt your butt when the boat crashes on small waves. 2 hours past, uncle Yap and Simon came back with 2 small snake head  fishes... Though the dishes that were cook wasn't really hygiene and complicated, it was supreme delicious!!! Especially the rice my dad cook, the canned beans, salted fish... it was so delicious! Or maybe I was just freaking hungry at that time.

It was our turn to go fishing...and after a 4 hours boat ride, fishing under the hot sun *I mean extremely hot* and stopping at certain check point places to fish, we only manage to fish 3 small snake head fishes. Not much luck though... my dad said it was due to the level of the water. I didn't manage to fish any fish because I suck in it, but it was amazing to use live frog baits to fish. "Swing swing swing my fishing rod as far as I could... la la la"

    ~The Skinny White Monkey~
Talking about how hygiene things should be and how you should actually stay hygiene as possible to show others how civilize are you, doesn't really implement in this camping. Because most of us; the uncles, dad and me could immediately strip down our clothes and eventually go naked! Thank god I only went half naked where most of them could only see my underpants... that's because I was about to take a bath in the river. Due to the freezing water, my skin would turn white after I had my bath and this came to me when I called myself a "Skinny White Monkey". Compare to the uncles and my dad, they are much darker and much more active than me... They are Gorillas, what do you expect.

Defecating was another problem for me on the first few days, but I got used to it around the second day or the third day of the trip. This is the part where I need to find a place around the bushes to defecate, stomp some leaves so it won't poke my white round butt... It was hard on the first day, I was not used to it and couldn't defecate properly. Which left me having stomachaches at night...

Most of the plates ,cups ,pots and pans were clean by using river water... You'll be surprise that the water you use to wash the vegetables, rice, fish, dirty dishes... to bath, to brush your teeth are from the river. Thank goodness that the river is flowing everyday so that the waste wouldn't stay on the same spot.

    ~Company~
On the second day of our trip, there were lots of mother boats passing by Sungai Lawit...which was very annoying. Because we couldn't strip ourself anymore, there would be this bunch of people who would be looking at us, it was hard to find suitable places for us to defecate or urine. Mother boats are boats which are much bigger that were rent by locals or foreigners to fish around Tasik Kenyir. Usually it would cost around RM1000 ++ per day. Things were getting really pissed when some of the mother boats stop at the opposite of our island, and annoyed us all day long with their noisy diesel engine running.

    ~The Rain~
Not exactly mentioning about an artist name Rain but basically it's about Rain in Tasik Kenyir, it would rain entirely almost everyday. And that pissed me off quite well because everytime it rain I need to rush back to my tent to make sure that it there was no hole around it so that the water wouldn't leak in. But eventually I didn't know how there were still few drops of water entering the tent which I need to clean it up with a dry t-shirt!!! I was smart to rap up my bag with a huge black plastic bag, so it wouldn't get wet.

    ~Backie!!!~
Overall... It was definitely bored for me for, because first of all I couldn't catch any fish, secondly I was bored because I couldn't bring my beloved cellphone along, and thirdly... I'm out of the internet connection, I can't go online!!! But who cares if you're bored...it's camping! Ha ha ha! It was totally a great experience to encounter things which I never done before, striping infront of others... fishing and how food could be even though they are served in a simple way... aka too hungry. It was fun in the middle and was bored because there were not much fish around. I came back to KL on the fourth day of our trip which is on the 30th of April...and if I have another chance to go camping again, I would drag some of my friends along... Ke ke ke!!! So those of you out there, just beware...
