~Fishing Cooking Fishing Cooking ... again and again~ After putting up our tent and cleaning up the bushes with a 'Parang' long dagger, not to forget the special formulated friendly environmental insect spray which most of us use to get rid of the insects... "Die Die Die!!! Ha ha ha!!!" ... uncle Yap and uncle Simon immediately went fishing... So the three of us, uncle Wong, Dad and me stayed back to cook breakfast. Eventually I was not helping because I was extremely tired due to the journey, riding on a boat for an hour wasn't easy, especially you would hurt your butt when the boat crashes on small waves. 2 hours past, uncle Yap and Simon came back with 2 small snake head fishes... Though the dishes that were cook wasn't really hygiene and complicated, it was supreme delicious!!! Especially the rice my dad cook, the canned beans, salted fish... it was so delicious! Or maybe I was just freaking hungry at that time.
It was our turn to go fishing...and after a 4 hours boat ride, fishing under the hot sun *I mean extremely hot* and stopping at certain check point places to fish, we only manage to fish 3 small snake head fishes. Not much luck though... my dad said it was due to the level of the water. I didn't manage to fish any fish because I suck in it, but it was amazing to use live frog baits to fish. "Swing swing swing my fishing rod as far as I could... la la la"
~The Skinny White Monkey~ Talking about how hygiene things should be and how you should actually stay hygiene as possible to show others how civilize are you, doesn't really implement in this camping. Because most of us; the uncles, dad and me could immediately strip down our clothes and eventually go naked! Thank god I only went half naked where most of them could only see my underpants... that's because I was about to take a bath in the river. Due to the freezing water, my skin would turn white after I had my bath and this came to me when I called myself a "Skinny White Monkey". Compare to the uncles and my dad, they are much darker and much more active than me... They are Gorillas, what do you expect.
Defecating was another problem for me on the first few days, but I got used to it around the second day or the third day of the trip. This is the part where I need to find a place around the bushes to defecate, stomp some leaves so it won't poke my white round butt... It was hard on the first day, I was not used to it and couldn't defecate properly. Which left me having stomachaches at night...
Most of the plates ,cups ,pots and pans were clean by using river water... You'll be surprise that the water you use to wash the vegetables, rice, fish, dirty dishes... to bath, to brush your teeth are from the river. Thank goodness that the river is flowing everyday so that the waste wouldn't stay on the same spot.
~Company~ On the second day of our trip, there were lots of mother boats passing by Sungai Lawit...which was very annoying. Because we couldn't strip ourself anymore, there would be this bunch of people who would be looking at us, it was hard to find suitable places for us to defecate or urine. Mother boats are boats which are much bigger that were rent by locals or foreigners to fish around Tasik Kenyir. Usually it would cost around RM1000 ++ per day. Things were getting really pissed when some of the mother boats stop at the opposite of our island, and annoyed us all day long with their noisy diesel engine running.
~The Rain~ Not exactly mentioning about an artist name Rain but basically it's about Rain in Tasik Kenyir, it would rain entirely almost everyday. And that pissed me off quite well because everytime it rain I need to rush back to my tent to make sure that it there was no hole around it so that the water wouldn't leak in. But eventually I didn't know how there were still few drops of water entering the tent which I need to clean it up with a dry t-shirt!!! I was smart to rap up my bag with a huge black plastic bag, so it wouldn't get wet.
~Backie!!!~ Overall... It was definitely bored for me for, because first of all I couldn't catch any fish, secondly I was bored because I couldn't bring my beloved cellphone along, and thirdly... I'm out of the internet connection, I can't go online!!! But who cares if you're bored...it's camping! Ha ha ha! It was totally a great experience to encounter things which I never done before, striping infront of others... fishing and how food could be even though they are served in a simple way... aka too hungry. It was fun in the middle and was bored because there were not much fish around. I came back to KL on the fourth day of our trip which is on the 30th of April...and if I have another chance to go camping again, I would drag some of my friends along... Ke ke ke!!! So those of you out there, just beware...
